An upholstered low seat or cushioned footstool.

It's finally complete!!!!!!
Inspired by the Cowlagis, designed by Meenu, body built by Anirudh and Sundar, upholstered by Meenu.

Anirudh literally swims like a fish. He and his team, the Framingham Flyers came in third among 10 teams in the 100 yd freestyle relay.
















This is Anirudh's wall of honor with all his trophies and ribbons. Soccer, baseball, swimming and dance. Great job dude!!!!

Aditya cycling

Aditya has started cycling with training wheels. He's so pleased with himself. He patiently waits for his reward of 5 "gummy bears" after every session. I am more than happy to "bribe" him if that can get him to cycle.

Vikram emptied an entire tin of Nivea cream on his face and the bed. Aditya was just shocked by the experience. What fun!!!!!

I am in coffee table heaven

It is finally over. The coffee table is complete and is operational!!!
We grouted the tiles last night and removed the masking tape today. Team A and Vikram gave it a once over and declared it fit for our home.

January musings

Can I hear snickers from readers?
What? This is a center table. By what stretch of imagination is that?????

I started this project earlier last week and it has taken me this long to get it to the final stages.

This morning Anirudh, Meenu and I glued the tiles to the table top. The white plastic "thingies" are tile spacers to help maintain the space between tiles. We need to wait at least a full day or more before starting the grouting process.

The table has been given three coats of "stain + poly". 

Trip to NY, NJ and Philly

Dec.29.2005. These are some pics from our visit to the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid on the Hudson River on the west side of Manhattan, New York City. The mighty ship has been converted into a permanent museum since it was decommissioned a decade ago. The kids had a blast on the ship. Anirudh of course had the best time of all, absolutely amazed at this up close and personal look at the ship and all the fighter aircraft on it.

Across the street from the mighty battle ship in New York City.	This is the fastest aircraft in the world, the A12 Blackbird. This big bird travels at 3.5 times the speed of sound.	On the main flight deck of the USS Intrepid.

What you see on the right side is a real Concorde aircraft. This aircraft which is now out of service was flown from London to JFK airport and then brought here on a barge down the Hudson river.

On Friday Dec.30, we went to Philadelphia. There we met Karthik Mukund.Later in the day we met Balaji and his wife Jaya. Some pics from our visit to Univ Of Pennsylvania in Philadepphia.
